LUNCH WITH LINDA AND HER MOM PHYLISS

Our last day in Skokie we were lucky to have lunch with Linda and her mom.We met at the 'Daily Grill', our restaurant hotel, the site of the family celebratory brunch on Sunday. It was a cosy time, snowy outside but warm feelings within. Kathy and Rick toasted with their one glass of chamgagne to this beautiful weekend gathering that Linda and her mom had worked hard to create. It was great to have some time together alone.

We had the Grill's special chicken pie for the last time. It has a very thin crust, and real chicken. Rick said "it was good but it was nothing compared to the ones that my mother used to defrost." It was one of his favorite lunches as a child.)
